Rihanna - Take A Bow Video

This video is a Amplification as it is set in a house and uses more than just a green screen. In this video Rihanna uses creative interpretation for the meanings of her lyrics and uses ideas to make the video keep to the narrative of the song. The video has a direct link to the song throughout the video with the music and how the shots are put together to give it a meaning. The narrative is more suggestive for this video as the song has an element of two scenes used which shows her singing in the dark using close ups, long shots and shots of eyes allowing use to see her facial expressions and body language which adds more to the video. The other scenes that are used are of her and her boyfriend fighting using the house as the main set and also her in her car driving away from him using action shots of both sets forming into one, which tells the story from the lyrics. They use a lot of eye-line shots where she is looking into the camera and singing to the audience. The clapping in the video is the main beat that is carried through out the whole music video which also connects with the lyrics as well as using the piano which gives you a sense of a love song. This is more of an R&B landscape using the american streets as the set of the video. They use a fast dolly track shot which shows her in the car so they can get a moving shot of what's going on giving more effect to the song. The light is natural sun light when outside and they use over head light when she is inside and on the green screen to make her stand out.
