Digipack Ideas

These are a few images that I want to include as backgrounds for my digipack and advert photo's. I want my music video to relate back to the original Little Mix 'Wings' video as this is my main inspiration for my the type of video im wanting to do. When it comes to the genre im doing I need to use the right style backgrounds that stand out and best fits the people im using to as this is another key factor I will need to think about when it comes to the pictures i take. So far from recording I have used these backgrounds for individual members of my band and this will relate well with the digipack and advert.

I chose a brick wall as a background as its simple but effective. This works well with my genre because its Pop and the person I used on this background stood out against it as her outfit is bright and also her make-up was natural and light. A picture on this would work well but I wouldnt use it for a front cover as I want something more stricking that will grab my target markets attention.

I also chose this background of graffiti as this reminds me of Pop music videos and the style of the genre im doing. I used this background for one of the band members as each person had a different background so the audience know who's, who. Also it uses bright colours and the person I used wore a bright top and jeans with natural but light make-up the same as the first person as this got the best look of the genre of the band. I think this background could be used for the digipack and advert but I think its a bit messy and its hard to get to for two of my band members so this idea couldnt work.

Research for Digipack

This is the six sided CD cover i will be making and what it will look like. This will include a front cover with the band members and name on it or style the artists want on their album cover. Then on the back cover there will be a list of the songs that will be included in the CD and bar code also the brand name. On the inside it will be where you fnd the CD and a deisgn or pictures of the band.

Front Cover

For my front cover I am thinking of doing a simple design with the girls in my band on the front cover as all girl bands do this which will get my audiences attention. This will work the best with the type of genre im going for as itll be effective and then on the inside I can make it more exciting with brighter colours. The reason I have chosen the extreme lights (LED's) is because it links back to the bands name, The Lazerlights. I am not sure on how im going to lay out the lights around the girls but im certian I want to include the members in the band on the front cover and through out the CD. I might also make the girls faded so the lights stand out more which will be effective and stand out. I have used a few of the type of album covers that already use this style I want as they give me inspiration and more ideas on how i could plan it out to get the best look and effect. I have also included a few group album covers that use bright colours that describe the girls id be using.

Behind the CD

For behind the CD case I will use the idea of bright LED lights so it will stand out and will carry on the idea from the front page so the whole CD case is connected. I want to you something simple behind the CD case as it will be covered up half of the time but when the CD is moved I will want it to get the attention of the client who bougtht the album, which is the effect im going for.



Inside Covers

For my inside covers I want to use the girls from the band and take fun, exciting, bright coloured pictures that show how close the girls are and show their personalities that will relate to the audience. I want to get a nice group photo of the girls using different props like sitting on a sofa or walking down the street being close together to show their relationship. I want to make all my covers in the album to be bright and colourful as this expresses the girls personalities that will come through from the pictures. I might use a locaton for the picture of a plain background.

Back Cover

For my back cover im going to put what songs the girls will be showing on the CD in a list. The songs will be numbered so its easy for the customer to find what song they want to listen to when using the CD. The background of the cover will be a plain colour which will be black, grey or a dark colour to go with the scheme of the whole album. The song im using for the music video im doing will be the first song shown on the list and will be bold and say latest hit single so the audience know which song is in the charts. This is an example of how many songs I might include on my back cover and the lay out and colour used. It will also have a bar code shown on the side as well as the place you can find the band.

Outside

For the outside of the album I will use bright colours for a simple deisgn that follows together to make a picture which fits the genre and the other pictures i have used on the album covers.

Inside fold

I might use this in my album which will allow a load of names that have worked with the girls to be included in the CD case tho be thanks for the hard work they've done to get them to the stage their at now.
