Album Covers Inspiration

Showcase of Beautiful Album and CD covers- Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon 1973
I have chosen the "Pink Floyd" album cover "The Dark Side Of The Moon" made in 1973 that I find inspirational that will help me through the process of making my digipack. When I first looked at this piece of artwork I regonized it and it got my attention because its a well known band that uses this artwork for their album cover which everyone knows and would regonize as its a popular picture. The artwork is also simple and affective because of the bright colours they use that stand out on the black background which I could possibley work towards when doing my front cover. The outlines of a triangle are found in the centre of the page with a singular line going into the triangle and a range of colours in multiple lines come out the other side which gives it more of an interesting look to it and becomes eye catching. I like how they put a stamp like title in the right hand corner of the page but i wouldnt nessercaraly use this for my cover.
Rafale: Rock It, Don't Stop It by Akroe
I also chose the "Rafale" album cover "Rock It, Dont Stop It" by Akroe who is a graffit artist that gives me inspiration when it comes to the style of the album cover im doing it doesnt have to be neat and perfect it can be a bit more messy and use more colours on a darker background so they stand out like this piece of work. This artwork is simple but affective as they use a black background which is the main colour used when it comes to background for magazines and album covers. It also uses many different bright colours that flow down the page giving a burst of colour to the eye. The font used on the cover is quite small and hard to see which makes me think the artwork is the main part of the cover which wants to be seen by the audience. I would not use this style of font for my title but by looking at the colours and the way its laid out on the page it gets my attention and stands out on the page which im trying to do for my album cover.

Editors: The End Has a Start by Idris Khan
I chose the album cover "The End Has a Start" by Idris Khan as it has a simple but eye catching look to it and relates to the sort of style I want for my album cover which will give me inspiration when going through the process of making my digipack. When I look at this artwork it gets my attention as the black on a yellow background really stands out and the affect of the blurred photograph makes it look like there is more of a meaning to the artwork. This photograph will relate back to the artist as it describes the feel of the person which is shown and is tried to get across to the audience. The fonts used on the cover are very simple and plain which I dont like and wouldnt really use on mine but where its placed in the middle of the page would be one idea I could use as it stands out on top of the background.

Inspiration

Here are a few videos that give me inspiration on the sort of shots and scene I want to include in my video that will make my video different to the orginal Wings video.
I like the single shots of each girls they use through out this video showing their pesronalities and style. I also like how they dance in time togehter which I would like to use for my video but id need to get the girls to dance in time or it wouldnt look professinoal.

I want my music video to be fun and quirkie as this will get the audiences attention. This video includes each of the girls to get involved and be a big part of the video which I want to do in mine as I want it to be a close girl band relationship. But im video wont be about sex appeal so itll be less runchie than this.

I like the idaea of having lights in the background of an album cover and the people in it look shaded out as it goes with my girl bands name "TheLazerlights". Id use different colour lights around them and mainly get their faces in it or a lond shot so I can see their whole bodys so you can see the outfits their wearing.
I like this idea as an album cover as its on a simple white background that makes the girls stand out. They are also wearing their own style outfits and shown to be close together which gives more of a sense of the band. I like the bold masterhead across the top of the page as this is used on a lot of magazines and covers so it gets your attention. This is the sort of font id use and way of structing the girls.
