Evaluation Question- 4 (draft)

4. How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

Adobe Photoshop Elements
This was one of the main technologies I used when it came to constructing my media products. I found this technology changeling at times because some tools I wasn't used to as the software has changed from last year. But many tools I had to use where in the same areas so I found them quite easily. In the past when working on this software it was difficult to use but after gaining knowledge on how to use the tools and functions as I experimented with the software so over time when going through the construction process it became clearer and easier to use. I believe certain parts of my skills have helped me out a lot this year when it came to the making of my ancillary text but then some disadvantages also came in as the software was completely different this year so I had to get used to the technology again which slowed me down and made the final product not look as professional as I would of hoped for. This technology was used through the construction and research and planning stage when it came to the production process. When thinking of constructing my ancillary text I decided to a play with this piece of software so I knew where every thing was for example the different tools provided on the software and the effects I could also use to achieve the best media product. This way I can look at multiple was I can use the software to construct my ancillary text before making my final magazine advert and digipack. I did plenty of research and planning when it came to the Pop convention on the ancillary text so I knew the kind of layout, text, images and style choice they use on their products so I can get my product looking as professional as possible. Once I had got my mock ups of my ancillary text I got some feedback from teachers and students on it which showed how much my research and planning was used in them and could be seen by my peers. I identified the effects that were pointed out by my audience feedback and made sure I used these on my final products. I then used this software to make my final ancillary text that I felt much more comfortable using as I had good experience from the mock up I did before. Overall I found the use of Photoshop very helpful when designing my ancillary texts and quite easy to construct my products by using the tools shown down the side of the software. This technology made it look effective and professional making my image look unique and easy to change to get the right look for the design I wanted. When it came to laying out my designs on the page it was easy to do as I insert the digipack template I had saved onto my documents and made my images to the right size they would fit on the page. I did this by using the bar at the top of the page where I could chose different tools to re-size the pictures or re-shape them to fit to the size of the boxes on the template. I could also add effects to the images by using different editing properties given to me on the tool section in the software which had a wide range. The colours I had chosen for the background of the band worked well with the Pop genre I was doing and fitted in well with the convention which lead to giving extra brightness as this sort of feature is found on many Pop media products that are sold today in the music industry. Therefore the software meet the requirements I needed to use, allowing me to add the conventions in the digipack and also linking to the magazine advert. This technology came in very useful when it came to achieving the standards I wanted to make the ancillary text as the software is quick and allowed me to use tools to create the products. This year I adapted ideas I had seen from other Pop genre albums and took their ideas as inspiration to make my products as successful as possible. My personal skills with this equipment has changed a lot and has made it much easier to work on this software and have made the products look more effective and realistic to the Pop convention. The technology allowed me to give a higher quality of editing photos, adding texts in when needed and images that were necessary in making my ancillary texts. I could use formatting tools and templates to make my products on a whole look more interesting and professional.

Microsoft Word
This is a technology I regularly used throughout the production and research and planning stage of my media work. This came in useful when it came to quite ideas I had or found on the internet that I wanted to extend my research on. Throughout my research and planning I used the word document to write down rough notes that could be taken further to produce more research. I used this mainly on certain research and planning that I needed to get my final media products to the full potential. This is a very easy bit of technology to use and made my research and planning easy to display and organise. This technology is one that I use everyday so I find it easy to use when it comes to the different tools found in the document. An example of a document we created in the research and planning is shown above including search of the style of digipack I want and a variety of fonts I could use on my digipack and which best inspired me. Therefore I used Microsoft word to layout the information I had found for my research and planning and labelled each document with a different name so I knew what I was looking for when it came to looking back on my research. I included text and images in my word documents so I had many different elements to look at that gave me inspiration and ideas on what to do for my final media pieces. The advantages of this software is that it is easy and quick to access and is good at displaying information and images in multiple ways. By saving my work that I had done in Microsoft document it made it easy to put onto my blog through scribd and by coping and pasting information into my blog. This was a useful source when it came to research and planning as it was always available to use as its on every computer
in the school and at home where I can make quick notes and present my work at any time. My skills have developed as iv used this technology a lot through my research and planning stages so I am able to use new tools to make a good piece of work. This made it very easy for me to put ideas down and research I had done as I could put it straight onto my blog.

Microsoft Publisher
I mainly used this technology when I was constructing my ancillary text as it was easy to put images and text onto as I use this software quite a lot so I know what tools to use and know where to find them. I found out that when it came to finding images for my mock up I could find them on the internet and could save them onto this file which made the whole process less time consuming. I started my draft ancillary text on this software as I found the layout easier and could edit my pictures in Photoshop later on as I just wanted to see how it would look before being in Photoshop and on a software where I know how to use. It allowed me to put fonts I wanted to use onto it as well as images and putting them together seeing what I thought work the best for my product. This software made the production process much quicker and easier for the digipack draft as it gave me an idea on what it would look like and the editing I could do when moving it onto Photoshop.

Paint

This technology came in very handy when it came to cutting down my images and saving them as jepegs. This technology is very straight forward and I used it when it came to constructing the images I wanted to go onto my ancillary texts. I inserted the pictures I had took one at a time into paint and re-sized them to the shape and size I wanted, cutting out any unnecessary faults that shouldn't be in the image to make it look more professional before editing it. The tools on the page are very easy to use and are found at the top of the page allowing me to change colour of the picture if I want and also adding extra colours. When inserting images I had taken onto my blog I had to have the images saved as a jepeg and by using paint it made it easy for me to do this as I had to click on save and change the settings to jepeg that would automatically show on my blog as soon as I clicked on the image I wanted as long as it had been saved as a jepeg. I used it for research and planning for my ancillary text to show the ideas I had through images and also on my construction as I could play with the colour but it was mainly used for my planning and research stages.

Adobe Première Elements

I used this pacific technology when it came to making my draft music video. I have used a little bit of this technology before but not fully understanding the tools to make a video. It was quite straight forward as the tools were all easy to see and use which are shown down the side of the software. This year round I found the software very slow to use and it friezed a lot when it came to putting my draft together. The tools took time to get used as I was finding the technology challenging to use. I soon realized I had to place each shot into the line up at the bottom of the screen and then change the time limit I wanted for each shot to make it work in time with the lip syncing  I saw it as a challenge to use this software and wanted to give it ago but when the software started to go slow on me I decided to swap technology's so I moved onto the mac computers and used the final pro cut which was much quicker to use and much easier to see what I was doing. When constructing my draft I used this software as it was the one I knew how to use and gave average quality shots but when playing it back it froze a lot so I couldn't completely see how well my video was working. It was challenging to get my draft done as the software played up a lot and I didn't have the time for these altercations so I had to think of a plan B which was using the macs as these were more up to date and I was told they worked much quicker and more affectionately. My skills whilst using this technology have developed as I had little experience of the software before I used it this year but by experimenting with clips and playing with the tools it became easier over time but I didn't have much time to get my video done. I struggled to get the draft together and worried about doing my final video on this software so I had to think of a different technology to use to get the best performance for my video which ended up being final cut pro as this was much easier and the software was more up to date making it higher quality video.

Window Movie Maker
I used this technology when it came to making my animatic video. This software was used in the construction  planning and research stages of my products. This technology was a effective way to show my ideas for my music video before even starting to film my video. I storyboarded all my ideas for my music video on sheets of papers and then I took photos of each story board and down loaded them onto the computer. I then added them all onto the software and had a sound track of the song I was going to use for my music video and set my images to the correct time as the frames changed. This was a prototype of my music video and helped me to identify where the timing was off and if it worked effectively with the music I had chosen. If anything didn't look right then I could change my ideas for my final music video to make them work and look more professional. Once I was happy with it I could then final each shot in stages. By presenting my video in this way made me gain skills by using another type of technology to show are ideas at each stage to show what I was trying to achieve with my video.

Olympus Digital Camera

When it came to taking pictures for my ancillary text I needed good quality images to put onto my digipack and magazine advert to make it look professional. I decided to use the Olympus digital camera to take my photographs. This was used on my research and planning and also through the production of my products. I took some test shots when I first stared to film just to see what would work well with the ancillary text. I used backgrounds like graffiti and brick walls that showed their different styles which were shown in the music video so  I thought it best represented them in their own way, giving me ideas of images to use for my ancillary text and developing on them to get them to look how I want them to look. By doing this I could decide on what was the best outfits for them to wear in my final photographs. I could see which test shots would work best on my ancillary text as they stood out and linked both of my products back to each other which is my main focus. Overall using the digital camera made my images good quality and looked quite professional as well as the band members working well together in the photographs as they are close friends making the image look realistic. This process made it easy and quick for me when it came to uploading the pictures onto my computer and editing the images to the style I wanted. I think the positioning of the band members in the photos and the way they stood made them look more of a girl band and got their personalities across to the audience. My skills when it comes to taking photographs has developed a lot as I know how to catch light and get the best shot to bring out the groups genre. But when it comes to planning in advance it all helps with the finishing product. Last year I thought about positioning of the band and the costume I used and props I could use with the girls I chose but this year it all came a lot easier as I already knew what I wanted from the girls to get the best feel for their style and personalities. Planning ahead gave me the chance to see what images worked best with the positioning and the people I chose to put in them that might work well on my ancillary text making a decision before making my final product with the highest quality images.

HP Memory stick

This piece of software came in very usefully throughout the three stages of the coursework to ensure all my work was backup just in case anything got lost while doing my work. By using a memory stick it made it much easier to access my work at home or at school as I could carry it around with me. When it came to having to do things out of school like taking photographs and videoing I could then transport all this information onto my memory stick and bring it into school giving me more time allowance when it came to doing my work. In my frees I could do extra bits of work for my ancillary text as I didn't have the software at home so I had to handle my time well and used up all my frees to get certain parts done for the deadlines given to me. This made the whole of the production process much easier as I could access my work at any time at any place which had the right technology for the work I was doing.

CD-ROM
I used this technology when I had to give in a hard copy of my final music video saved to the office for the hand in deadline. This technology was used in the production section of my music video and I burnt my final music video onto the CD and signed my name on the cover of the disc to be ready for marking.

Youtube/Internet explorer
I found that I used internet explorer/Google a lot through my research and planning stage. Without this technology I wouldn't of been able to develop my ideas any further. I used Google a lot for quires I had on the genre of my band or any information I wasn't quite sure on and extend the ideas I already had by looking at websites of bands I liked a linked to my band also images that inspired me by the colour or texture they had to them. I used these technology's to research and plan each stage with ideas I had came up with for example bands names. costumes, inspiration, Pop conventions and much more information to reach the construction stage of my product. These technology's have developed my skills when it comes to my ideas growing for my production of my product and made researching planning much easier and quicker as I could access information in seconds. Developing my ideas by researching key words and bands I liked made it easy to pick out key points I would want to use for my product and gave me inspiration to make my product a certain way. Without the use of youtube and internet explorer then the background information for my ancillary text and music video would of been minimal and wouldn't of looked as realistic as they do as my intentional ideas wouldn't of expanded. The internet was a big help when it came to developing my ideas because as soon as I had found one bit of key information I was interested in I could them expand my research and look into things in more depth. I could also find inspiration from videos on youtube and make documents on the information I had found that best worked with the products I was making. I had to rely on this particular part of technology due to me using blogger a lot and youtube and Google.

Mac Computer/Laptop
I found using the mac computer that were provided for me in school made the process of producing my products much easier and quicker. This was a new bit of software the school got this year and I didn't know how to use it at all at the beginning of the year but after a lesson of using the internet and other apps available I caught on quite quick. I could use the mac computers to do my ancillary text and develop my ideas as it had the right software on it for example Photoshop and the internet. It was useful for accessing technology's for example CD-ROM, memory stick and digital camera as these could all be connected to the computer and used with it so I could work at any time. Their were only five mac computers but they were available to me at any time I wanted through the school day and any work I wanted to do at home I could do on my laptop onto my blog. Having a laptop at home allowed me to do a lot of work out of lesson time which made it much easier when I had work that had to be handed in by deadlines as I could do it at home and doing research outside of school preparing me for work that I could do each week. I was a bit limited to the software I could use at home as I didn't have Photoshop or final cut pro but I made enough time in my free lessons to experiment with the technology making it easier to use for my final music video and ancillary text.

Blacberry
My blackberry came in handy when it came to making dates to meet up with my band members to record my music video. I also set my self tasks to get done in a matter or time so I would have all my work done on the deadlines that were given to me. This improved my organisational skills as I could plan ahead and keep on track to my deadlines and if anything went wrong I could rearrange meetings with the girls and make sure all the work was done on time. This technology came in useful as it kept me working to deadlines and made doing my work much easier as I spread it out over the weeks allowing me not to get to stressed.

Final Cut pro
This was the technology I used throughout the production of my music video. At the beginning of making my music video I didn't know what to do as I hadn't used this technology before so I had to have the teacher show me how to use the software but it was quite straight forward and after one lesson I knew how to work the whole software. I started editing my shots as soon as I had filmed them by uploading my shots off the video camera by inserting the SD card into a memory stick that connected to the computer through the SUB hole which automatically uploaded all the clips onto the software. I began by editing a single clip by dragging it into the timeline at the bottom of the page where I could play with the tools given to me that cut the clip and changed the timing of each shot. This was pretty easy and the more clips I added made it a bit more difficult to line them all up together by getting the lip syncing right and making sure I had the right clip for the shot. Also the timing had to be right for each clip when they changed so they had to be in the right order and position on the timeline for it to run smoothly. My skills have developed throughout using this technology as I had no knowledge on how to use it at the beginning of making my music video but by experimenting with clips and practising a lot with the tools and software it made it much easier for me to use and also I enjoyed using the technology. When it came to using final cut pro for my final music video I felt confident using it so I played with the editing to get a more professional look for the final video. For example I was going to use lyrics from the song in the video and I found a tool that allowed me to type in the words I wanted to use and cut the timing so it would fit in with the music which made it look very effective. I also played around with different effects on each clip either with the colours or with the actual effect given to the clip but they didn't look professional and didn't go with the sort of music video I was making so I didn't use any of these effects in the end. Without final cut pro I wouldn't of been able to create my music video as this technology helped me a lot throughout the construction of the product. This particular technology was the best piece of equipment in the college and enhanced my work as this technology had the best editing software. This technology allowed me to cut clips to fit into the timeline, edit the brightness and contrast of each clip, alter timings and add clips into the timeline which allowed me to follow my story board as best as I could with a few changes.

SD Video camera
I used this technology whilst producing my music video to film each shot. I borrowed this camera from the school library and had to sign in and out when using it. I found this device quite easy to use but the quality of the shots weren't to the best standards. The shots I did take looked average in the end and because I wasn't fully aware with the editing on the mac computers I didn't make the shots look better quality. I used this technology a lot throughout the construction of my video and it made filming much easier as I could shoot each shot in order or just tick off the shots I had done and because I had planned the shots in advance it meant I could get straight on with filming by looking at my story board that made the process a lot quicker. My skills developed a lot when using this technology as I had never used it before but it was quite straight forward to use so didn't take me long to get use to the software. I had to think of a range of shots I could do before filming as I didn't want to waste time on shots I wasn't going to use as they didn't look effective or weren't going to fit in with the genre and my final music video. When looking back over the shots I did for my draft I had done the same shots about four times to make sure I got the best quality shot to use in my music video but I realized this just wasted more time and wasn't necessary. This was also an advantage because if one shots didn't work well I could change it for another shot that was better quality but this was very time consuming as I had to go through all the shots to pick out the best ones. As my skills have developed using the camera I feel more confident when using it as throughout the filming process I could identify the shots that didn't work to well but then also see the ones that looked more effective. The camera functions were very handy as I could replay shots to see if they were what I wanted and if not I could delete them straight off the camera, also I could zoom in and out to get better focused shots depending on the angle I wanted. Zooming in and out was very useful as it allowed me to get different shots that worked well in my music video. By using a variety of shots it would make my target audience more interested and make them keep watching. I didn't use the camera to take photographs even though it was useful to have just because I wanted better quality images for my ancillary text.
SD card
This was another useful piece of technology I used when constructing my product. I used this through the construction of my media video to store all my clips. I found this portable device very handy as I could store them on my laptop at home and also in school so I could look at them and start editing them too. This made the production process much quicker as I could import them instantly on to the computer to view them and decided on which ones to keep as they were the most effective for my music video. This way I could label each shot and put them straight into final cut pro. After putting them onto the computer I also transferred them onto my memory stick so I had them in more than one place just in case they got deleted.

Disc wizard
This was a useful technology to use when it came to my digipack. I inserted this template that I got given from the website into publisher and Photoshop to use as a simple template for my construction, planning and research stages when making my digipack. This template made sure my digipack would be a reasonable size and look a realistic as possible before continuing to do further development. My digipack was much easier to construct with this template as it gave me a basic lay plan of how each panel would be shown. When constructing my draft digipack I used this template on publisher as I knew the software better and used images of the internet for each panel as these photos inspired me because of the colours and the position the artists were put. This was my research and planning stage making it quite straight forward and simple as I was just looking on how to lay it out and get the best colours for my genre. But when it came to my final digipack I used Photoshop as there were many more tools I could use to make my images look more realistic and professional. The template made the production process of making my digipack much easier and quicker as I could see where I would put my images on each panel and how big they could be. This made the planning easier to see instead of rushing into making my final album and it not looking professional and up to my stands.

Slide share
This was not a technology I used very often when it came to my media work just because I didn't make many power point presentations. I used this to upload one of my evaluation questions onto my blog as I had been asked to present my questions in different ways and this is one im familiar with and can do quite easily. This made the process of putting the power point onto my blog very easy and quick as I could upload it then use the embed link and copy it straight to my blog. When using this technology you don't need any technical skills as its simple to use as you just upload your work onto the site and then embed it onto the blog. This made my evaluation stage which was constructive very easy as I could layout pictures and text in different ways and put them on separate pages that made it easy to see how the question was answered in the layout I used.

Animoto
Animoto is a great way to present my work as this technology allows me to show it in a visual context making it more interesting for the examiner when it comes to looking at my evaluation questions. I produced a video for one of the evaluation questions I was told to present and did this by using both images and texts. I like this website as you can add your own music as the backing track whilst information you put up and pictures come up to show a over view of the subject im talking about. This technology is quite easy to use and also very interesting as you can play around with different words and sentences you want to use that a sort and snappy, also images that relate back to these words that make it interesting to watch. This was a easy way of putting one of my evaluation questions together as the format is simple to use. Without the use of this technology then a lot of the ideas I had would of looked dull and boring as they would of been on a normal word document format which can be interesting but this way gives a more appealing presentation to my audience. By adding this technology to my blog it gave me a variation of different technologies I can use to present my work making it more appealing as it produces a video. This made the evaluation stage easier as I could narrow down the ideas I had when doing my research and planning and showing how I used them all as well as the technologies that can in useful when making my media products. I had used this technology last year but my skills have improved as I can use a wider range of images and text and lay it out better to get a more interesting finishing look. It only allows you to used brief notes and text which is useful and clever as this means your not boring the viewer and works well by showing images. When it came to my evaluation stage I thought it was very helpful piece of technology as I could present my ideas in more of creative and fun way. I thought this technology was appropriate as I had a lot to say and by using short notes and images it explained it quite well.

Prezi
I used prezi when it came to my evaluation stage as it is a good bit of technology to use when constructing a question together. The software is very easy to use and I learnt I could do many things with it to make the layout look interesting and exciting by including images text and also videos. This technology is very interesting and visual like animoto and slide share as it can display information in a variety of ways, depending on how I want it to look to my viewers. I feel my skills from last year have increased as I knew were the tools were and knew how to add images and text on to the page and make it look interesting to the viewer. The main feature of this software is that after putting all your information onto it and images you can label them in a order and this is were the text will be zoomed in on and will move on through out the page until it gets to the end. This makes it easy for the viewer to read through the information as its put in order for them and all they have to do is click the button and it'll move them on. This software was more creative and fun to work on as it gave me a variety of tools to make my information look interesting, unlike just posting on my blog. I enjoyed working on prezi as it was easy to present my ideas and was less time consuming to use when it came to constructing my evaluation question.

Scribd
I used this technology a lot last year and when it came to using it this year for my evaluation stage it was very easy and simple to use. When constructing my evaluation question together I used Microsoft word document which is easy to use allowing me to put images and information on to a page. When it came to putting this all onto my blog so the examiner can see I found it easy to upload this document onto scribd and embedding the file onto my blog which was mainly used for my evaluation stage where I put all my research and planning into one area to show on my blog. It is a quick process to do as embedding it onto my blog didn't take any longer than a few minutes where my work could be shown.

Blogger
I used this a lot through my planning and research as this is where I showed all the information I had found that would help me get the media product I wanted as my teachers could see it as well as my class mates who could comment on my posts which gave me more ideas for my ancillary text and music video. It helped me work through each stage of my coursework to get the best outcome in the end. This is where I showed all my ideas, work and progress I had made from the beginning of my planning and research to the end. This technology was very useful when it came to my research and planning as I could embed different technologies onto the blog that included power point, word documents, animoto videos, links from websites and prezi presentations. I thought this was a effective way to show my work as I could explain what each stage was about and where I wanted to go with it all, including changes I made and the developing I did on certain research and planning that worked well with my media product. The blog came in handy when I got stuck and needed inspiration too as I could look at recent years work before me and my other class students work and see what they were doing. From last year my skills have improved with this technology as I made my blog look more interesting and stand out to get peoples attention making them want to read through my blog. I kept my blog neat by labelling each post I made with headings that are found down the right hand side of the page which made it easy when I wanted to look back through my ideas. I used skills I hadn't used last year for example the gadgets that could be used to make the blog look more interesting and exciting like the labelling of my work, showing the people I am following, having the dates when I put my work onto my blog allowing me to see each post iv made and when, also adding links so its easy to see where I got my inspiration from. Some of these gadgets made the research, planning and production stages much easier as I could plan ahead and could look back on old posts and see my strengths and weakness's that I had done through my work which gave me key information that could push my work a step forward. For example the labelling made it easy for me to see what work I had done and the sections I could improve on to make my media product as good as possible. Over all this piece of technology was very useful and allowed me to see my work all together making my ideas look effective in a visual way through every stage, including research, planning and construction of my products.

Twitter
This a social network site I used for my band to get their views and opinions across as well as latest news about them. By using this technology I could follow other bands that were in the same genre as The Lazer Lights to get up dates on what they were doing and also get inspiration from their site, to help me with more ideas for my band and tweet similar things to fit into their category. This helped me get feedback through each stage of my planning and research and allowed me to keep people up to date with what the band were doing and the progress I had made on my coursework.

Email
I used the school email system when I got stuck on certain parts of the tasks given to me, through the research and planning and also the making of my ancillary text and music video. This software made it easy and quick to send messages to my teachers when I had a query to ask them and they could send me resources and information back without me having to go and see them which would take up time as id have to find them. Email helped me through the research and planning stages as I could ask for recourse that would be used for certain parts of my research. I asked for help when I got stuck on the animatic video that needed to be on my blog by a certain time and I couldn't get it on, but the teachers told me not to worry and in the next lesson they would help me with this problem, allowing me to get on with other work. Also the teachers could email me with websites and blog's that they thought I would find useful when it came to my media product.

Overall without these technology's being at hand it would of been impossible to construct the work I have done. Throughout my research, planning, construction and also the evaluation all these technology's came in use for similar reason but some were more suitable for different areas of my production process. By using these technology's I have been able to produce a digipack, magazine advert and music video, produce research and planning to help me construct these products and also create the evaluation questions. I feel my skills have developed throughout the use of each of these technology's this year and also challenged me from the skills I had last year.

Evaluation Question- 3 (draft)

3. What have you learned from your audience feedback?

I was given feedback from my audience through a range of different source which include:

  • Teacher- Done
  • Class Members- Done
  • Blogger- Need to do
  • Family- Need to do
  • Need to put it on my Facebook and twitter get feedback from friends
By doing it this way I could get a variety of opinions from a range of people to help me identify improvements I could make to get my video in the right direction, making it as professional as possible. This helped me to realise the elements that worked well and others that didn't look as effective that could be improved on. These sources were suitable to gain audiences feedback as I could ask for advice from people within my target market and people my work might not appeal to also. By doing this I could balance out the opinions and views of the audience and meet their requirements by making appropriate changes when developing my work further.

Gaining regular feedback through the process of making my music video from the teachers and class members was very useful as they understood the progress I had made from the start to the finish. This made them able to set reasonable targets to improve my three media products that would give me a better grade and allow me to see what steps I should take next to improve each piece of work. Teachers often spent ten to fifteen minutes giving me feedback in the lesson as they had looked over my blog posts, this included my research, planning and my music video that was on my computer which they kept viewing after I had changed parts. They then gave me a sheet of paper with their advice on things I could improve and change which was very helpful as I could keep looking back on these notes and adapt my work. Also when I was struggling in places they would email me giving me inspiration for my ancillary text and research for my music video by posting websites and links that came in useful allowing me to see previous students work that helped me with my ideas on my music video and other aspects of my work by taking my own view of it and applying to my work. Receiving constant feedback from my peers made it easy to make my ideas more clear and refined.

After doing my draft I was able to show my work to my class members which allowed them to sit down and take any necessary notes that provided use with positives and negatives on my video that I could improve on. By doing this I was gaining feedback from people that fit into my target audience. There were a few things that came up from a number of people, for example lighting in parts were darker than others, the garage shots I did could be improved finding more effective places, the dance moves the band did could be improved and should of spent more time practicing. These comments were very useful so I could concentrate on these certain elements but I didn't have enough time to improve every bit so I did the best I could. I believe my video came out quite well in the end and represents the Pop genre I did from the feed back I got.

I also received feed back throughout the making of my ancillary text from my teachers. For the digipack I got told I should use the same background behind each of the girls so id have something that represents my band and so they'll be recognised. Also I was told to remove the white background around my text as it didn't look very professional. The teachers told me to make sure my text was lined up to each other and were the same size so it looked neat as it was a bit messy at first. Final they told me to pick a less posed image for the front cover as it wasn't usually seen on Pop albums. For my magazine advert the main comment raised was finding the right image to put on the front of the advert as it had to connect back to the digipack. A record label was also needed to be added to the advert so you knew what record label they were signed by which showed what kind of genre the music video and band are. By receiving both positive and negative feedback it allowed me to identify the changes i needed to do on both of my ancillary texts and music video which include styling, miss en scene, lighting, location, filming and editing.

I think it was important to get feedback from varies people and sources because I could get their input to what they think was good and what needed improvements and it made it even better that they were my target audience so when I changed parts of my products I knew what my audience was looking for. Doing this process would make my products more successful and meet their requirements. Getting feedback through the making of my ancillary texts and music video allowed me to improve certain parts throughout the time I had to make them making the process smoother. By allowing people outside of my class to see my ancillary text and give me feedback made me see things I might not have seen before. The feedback I got from my draft video wasn't much as I hadn't put it onto my blog but the feedback I did get I tried my best to improve part I could do as some areas I wanted to change were impossible because of weather and other elements. All together I believe my media products came out as best as I could do them in the time I had and thought it fitted in well with my Pop genre.

Evaluation Question- 2 (draft)

2. How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?

I believe overall my ancillary text and my music video worked well together due to the elements I decided to use throughout all three pieces of work. I chose to use similiar features across my products to develop a sence of branding for my target audience to see and understand. Throughout the making of both of these products I kept one element the same which was the clothing I used, sometimes they weren't wearing exactly the same clothes but they were very similar and describe the genre of the band well. Their style is quite basic with the Pop band kind of look which doesn't take focus off the other elements of the music video even though this is one of the main elements used as this shows the audience what genre band they are. I have done this so you can just focus on the bands performance. The bands style is unique and interesting which gets the attention from younger girls who are their target market that like the band as this fashion is seen a lot on the high streets which is inspirational to many kids these days, as celebrities are known for their well-known fashion. The girls can be seen as role modals which give them a good look and each of their style work well together as a band. Because of this it makes them fit in to the current music industry as these of the styles of clothing being used more often in the Pop genre so its more recognisable and realistic. The clothes the band wear in the photos on the digipack and advert are also used in the music video or relatively similar as they have many clothing changes throughout the music video as there are so many different shots. The most consistent clothing that is shown throughout the three products are leather jackets, leggings, dark jeans and patterned or colourful tops as these are the main elements worn by each band member. This is a useful element to keep as this makes them recognisable and their fans know them by these styles/clothing they have/wear for future releases and appearances. The choice of costume used for all three products was very effective because the Pop style is constantly shown that makes them more recognisable to the target market.

Another element I considered when it came to making my ancillary text and music video was the bands members individual personalities. It was important for me to express the bands personalities throughout each of the three media products, so it shows they fit into the ressent Pop genre catergory for their music video. The band expresses fun and their individual sense of humours by the body language they do and the facial expressions they pull at times. Pop groups are always shown to be exciting and fun as this is part of the genre. Through using these elements it made the group look realistic and fit in well with the Pop genre, so I decided to give each of my band members a bit of freedom when it came to their individual performances as I wanted it to come across in the music video as their having fun and dont look to directed by myself which would leave them looking stiff and un-natural. I used this technique through the filming and when it came to my photo-shoots. Certain members of the band added extra ideas to give their charater more interest which made them develop their role even more to the genre of the music video. I decided to keep the Pop genre going on through all of the three media products so it appeals to my target audience that is focused at the age range of 16-20 as this makes my product stand out more and catergorised. The Pop genre has always been around in the music industry and is a very popular music catergory that is growing and developing every day and this is the reason I chose this particular genre. My knowlegde of the genre helps produce a high quality media product and make my band fit into todays industry. This was a good chose because it allowed the band members to get into the role and have a bit of fun with it as it isnt to serious.

Another element was the camera angles and shots I used for my ancillary text and music video that were used for my photographs and filming. When it came to the filming of my music video I wanted to include as many different angle and shots as possible to make it interesting and fun to the eye of my target market, but also using them in the appropriate places that best fit the Pop genre. The shots I used for my music video were very short and quick as if I had used long shots then it would of been repetative and the audience might get bored and not want to watch it again. Therefor when it came to my ancillary text I highlighted the best angles that came through on the filming shots and used these on the photopgraphs for my digipack and advert as this would get the best effect for this genre. I kept these shots so they would work well together when looking at each media product and would look more professional and realistic. When I was filming my music video I used a variety of shots including long shots, mid shots, close ups and extreme close ups which I considered using when it came to my advert and digipack so it gave the same effect as the video. As you can see from my magazine advert image I decided to use a mid shot of the band against the painted wall. The chose of my location is simple and doesnt distract the audience from the band members which is my main aim. Also this location is shown throughout my other media products that links them all together making it easy for my target market to see what products are the lazer lights. This style of photo is used a lot on many other popular Pop genre magazine adverts. My inspiration for this photograph idea came from the research I did on other girl bands fro example the satrudays and parade as they are shown on colourful backgrounds all close together showing how close they are as friends. This is very effective as it focuses on their style and personalities. The positioning of the girls and the faical expression represents their personalities and the relationship they have with each other. This is used through the other two media products as well. This shows their audience their not to serious and enjoy having fun with their freinds. On my digipack I used a range of phoographs that were all similiar as I wanted it to look eye catching. To do this I used mid shots for each band member and positioned them in a simple but effective way. I got this idea from the research I had done on recent and later Pop bands and seen how they stand in their album cover image. This gave me the idea of making them stand side by side in a line against the painted background being close together with a normal stance. I also used mid shots on the magazine advert to create a link to my other products by using the same location and similiar clothing. This is a popular convention in Pop albums and magazine adverts to make it clear that they are all related back to each other and are the same band. Some images I had taken where at different levels as sometimes I gave the camera extention to get a looking down shot that worked quite well. Also I did a few close ups and long shots just to make sure I had a wide range of photos to chose from when it came to my ancillary text and music video. I used many of these shots in my filming as well as they look very effective and contrast well with the genre of the video. The mid shots are a direct linked seen through each product iv made. Iv also used a simple mise en scene and location choice, allowing each girl for the band having a different location that best shows their personality and shows a direct link to their rold through the music video. My song is quite a upbeat song so when it came to locations it had to look interesting and the band members had to give extra excitment by doing funny movements and exggarated shots to intise the audience in. I think it was a success as the band look quite professional and it shows through all the products iv made. Also on each of my media products I included the same background so it all connects back to each other which makes the band look even more professional and makes it more interesting to the target market as they will see this through each product. The magazine advet and digipack is quite easy to see this link and after watching the video you can see where the link comes in giving it a unique look.

Altogether I believe using these elements in my media products, for example similar costume styles, miss en scene, personalities and camera angles that represent my band in a effective way. I chose this particular elements because they were quite easy to incorporate through the making of my three media products and linked back to each of my ancillary text and music video. Before deciding on the elements to use I went picked out the elements not to use as some worked better than others when it came to the products. After putting my digipack panels all together I realised that some photos that were included in the digipack didn't look quite right as they looked to exaggerated and stiff. This made them look unrealistic to other bands as I looked back over my research and notice they use simple long shots or mid shots of the band members standing together in a normal stance (not to exaggerated). Knowing this I also thought it wouldn't work to well on the advert as I was going to use individual shots of each band member on their different backgrounds that are shown through the video. After putting the advert together I could see it wasn't going to work very well so I decided to use the same background for each product to link them all together and show the girls standing together as this is a conventional Pop genre style. I thought it was best to use the same location for each of my products just because it makes it easy for my target market to tell what products the lazer lights and it also represents them to the full. When it came to filming I thought it was a better idea to use different location as this makes it more interesting to watch and decries each individual in the band differently. This allows them to show off their own styles and personalities by the way they move with their body language and also their facial expressions. In today industry I feel that my main product and ancillary text would work well as a package as there are obvious links but its exciting to look at and also has a fun and humours vibe to it. All together I think the products develop their own branding that can be recognised by their target audience. My digipack and magazine advert link together quite well because of the colours used and the background shown behind the band in both products.  I think that the ancillary text and the main product work well together because they use the similar elements that achieve a link in some way either if its in the photos or text and also through the personalities of the band members that are represented through the three media products, which will work well together to be advertised as a brand.

Evaluation Question- 1 (draft)

  1. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
In the research and planning stage I regonized the common Pop conventions that is used in real media products for example, adverts, digipacks and the actually music video. I started to decide on how I would incorprate these into my own texts and music video. I then researched these conventions on the internet to find out how they are used and why which helped me to make my meida products. Pop conventions have the same theme throughout the genre but can be mixed up through different range of people in the band either boys or girls in a band and also the style they have which is pretty clear to see. I used the Pop convention but I didnt really develop or challenge as much as I might of wanted to but the ancillary text was quite straight forward. When it came to the research and planning I felt it came in very useful as it gave me extra knownlegde and elements that would look more effective when it came to the bands genre and style. Below I will be showing some of the Pop conventions I researched and used whilst making my media products.

Colour Used
The first convention I looked out was the colours used in the Pop genre which was bright and out standing to get the audiences attention, that is used on the ancillary text and also the music video. My ancillary text didnt have much of a colour scheme at first but this is quite normal as some bands are very diverse and not always connected together. This can work well depending on the type of band being used or some might want a to use a colour scheme throught their products likes magazine and digipack. This is something I developed on as a direct link to my ancillary text. I thought the idea of using the same colour scheme throughout the products that include my digipack and advert would be a good idea as this would relate each piece of my work I did back together making it easy for the audience to regonise my products. I decided on using bright colours as much as possible as Pop genre relys on exaggerated colours to catch the audiences eyes. This is used for many girl bands like Little Mix and Parade as they work mainly through their colour and positioning on digipacks and adverts to get the best look and make it very eye catching. The photograph I usd on my advert cover was quite bright but on normal Pop covers they would make the photograph as bright and colourful as possible to stand out on the page and make the band members look vibrant and full of life. The colours used work quite well as they are bright and suit the band in the photographs as their are three girls shown but it isnt to distracting so you dont focuse on one aspect of the advert which was the aim as the information on the page is very important for the readers to see. This is also used on the saturdays products as they use bright colours on each girl to make them all stand out but at the same time they use the right amount so it isn't to distracting to the eye. The most noticable colours on my advert and digipack is red, white, black and blue which complement each other quite well as they are suital colours with a hit of birhgtness in them but not to much to be distracting. My digipack uses the same colour scheme as the advert as I wanted to make a link throughout the products to make it easy for the readers to see what products are The Lazerlights. This is shown from the same colours being used and also the style of writing making it simple and plain to the eye when reading it. The background I use that is shown behind the girls in the band in their photographs is the same in each shot and is also shown on the girls single shots on my digipack. The individual photographs are shown on three sections of the digipack case and the other two have just a straght forward photograph of the background so its simple to the eye and can have writing on it and doesnt get distracted by the background as the colours arent shown to be to bright. I chose two different photographs on my advert and digipack as I wanted a bit of a different feel to them both seeing their using the same colours something had to stand out. On the digipack I had them standing in a line next to each other which is taken from the research iv done on other bands as they are shown in this way a lot. When it came to my advert I tried something a bit different with the positioning of the girls which worked quite well as it stands out as its not normally found on a conventional Pop magazine that could also be a negative but has worked for my product. I didnt think about editing my pictures as they looked right for the style I was going for. Extra time could of been spent on improvig the advert and digipack but I didnt have time as I got the basics done and improved the layout and the way it looked.
Location
When it came to both of my ancillary text, I used the same location for the photographs and similiar clothing so they would relate when it came to looking at my products and regonising them. The location wasnt the brightest place to take photographs as these shots were taken in my garage which left me with the daylight and a extra bit of light from the garage light that hangs from the top of the roof. This location isnt conventional to the genre im doing but I didnt have many choices when it came to areas I could shoot in, but the background and light shown on the right side of their faces gives the photgraph more meaning. The photos iv taken are in the Pop category which are mainly based on the colours iv used and the positioning of the girls in the band to get the over all feel to the photograph. Some of the locations I took my photographs in are darker that I didnt include in my digipack or advert as I didnt want them to be dark I wanted them to use light colours not to out standing and not dark that you cant see the girls faces as their faces are one of the main features to see their expressions when their together which is happiness. I used a variety of location including a brick wall, graffiti wall and painted background which is a conventional for the genre I'm doing as this shows their different personalities. This was used in my video so you could tell which member of the band you where listening to but wasn't used through my ancillary text as it didn't look right on the advert and I wanted to keep a scheme going through the digipack and advert so it would relate to other products when it came to the audience looking for their products.

Action Shot
This is a common convention used in Pop videos to get many shots in about two seconds. This gives a fun and exciting view on the band which is presented in my music video with the lazerlights. My music video was based on the individual shots and the closeness of the girls that could be seen through the shots I had taken that gave a really girl band sense to them. This was part of my research as I had found out this key points that are used in my genres music video, for example girls aloud use many shots at once making it eye catching with bright lights and fears colours that are bold. This is the sort of style I was going for just more of a calm downed version. This idea of action shots make the video fun to watch as every second the shots would change so you wouldn't be looking at one shot for to long and they are all different. Pop music videos are usually upbeat and have a good feel to them that gets everyone interested in watching the video in the first place. Therefore the shots are fast to change because there is so much going on in the video and I used this to portray my band members equally and expressing their individual personalities through many different stages including dancing, singing and acting through their body language. Making it a fast passed video links it in well with the song and the genre iv used, this works well to stand out and get the attention of the audience. There are many different kind of shots we used that include long shots, mid shots, close ups and extreme close ups that were put into the video at the right time where the song speed up or slowed down.

Costumes
Costumes are one of the main conventions needed in the ancillary text and music video as this sets out the genre of the song straight away and will show how well recognised they are through their clothing style. As iv said before in the recent text that I have used the same photographs that were taken at the same time and same location for both my advert and digipack so the band members where wearing the same or at least similar clothing. This allows them to be noticed for their Pop style for the future releases and appearances. For the band to fit into today clothing industry I had to think about the sort of style Pop groups wear which I found out through my research and planning by looking at other bands like the saturdays who wear shorts, tops and skirts as well as leggings. These are the sort of styles that are worn a lot these days by younger girls as they take inspiration from celebrities so I took this all into consideration when it came to picking out clothing for the band. I decide for them to wear these clothes because it best portrays their personalities as each girl had a different style but kept in the genre. This had a positive fun effect and it also meet the age range of their target market as it can inspire them with their fashion sense. You can see the below I have used the same styling in each photograph so it keeps to the convention.

Lighting
The lighting used in my ancillary text was quite straight forward as I didn't experiment much with the lighting in the photographs or in the must video. When it came to taking photographs of my band I used natural light as I didn't have any extra light stands that I could use when I was outside or in the garage taking group photos. The convention used is bright and colourful and a secreted few were bright because of the day light and the placement of the artist hand the right amount of sun on their face making them glow. Other shots I had took were darker and didn't fit in with the convention and I decided I wouldn't use them but I could of made those photographs brighter through photoshop but I didn't use this skills when it came to making the advert and digipack. A lot of Pop photos are bright and exciting so I did the painting background with bright colours so it would fit in with the genre and the style im going for as well. I decided to take the pictures in a natural light so I can alter the brightness and contrast myself. The advert photograph is bigger and brighter as its the only picture on the page and needs to stand out so this particular photo had extra colour added to it. On the digipack it uses a lot of the same background photo for each CD case and they are shown to be more neutral than bright so each case works together and none stand out from the others. If I had used dark colours and effects then it wouldnt of fitted in as well as this isnt the convention im using for my genre.

Long shots, Mid shots, Close ups and Extreme Close ups
The convention I used the most on my ancillary text and music video was close ups and long shots as these are used in real media products. For example Little Mix they use many close ups so you can see their lip sycning and facial expressions in photos as well as using long shots so you can see more of their body language which says a lot when doing a music video or on the ancillary text. This shows more expressions and someone personality being able to see more of someone and their clothing that tells alot about them. Mid shots and extreme close ups are used as well becuase the extreme close ups show more expressions in their eyes and lips defiantly when it comes to the lip sycning scence as this allows the audience to understand them better. The mid shots can be used a lot as some times you dont want to see the whole body but another to understand the shot this is usually used when movement is used or some group shots so you can see them all together. By using a mixured of these camera angels it keeps the video interesting and at a fast pase making the audience watch it all the way through. On the ancillary text I have also used mids shots/long shots as this works with the convention on the genre  and ties the three together. By using a variety of shots and angles it gives it a more interesting and exciting look for both ancillary text, this is shown on other well know media products as it enhances the bands style and personality. I used all angles when using the camera making my video as I could use many different shots to make the video work well to the conventional genre im using. Mid shots and Extreme close ups enhance shots and makes them positive and more effective. This expresses the Pop genre as it highlights their dancing, singing and body language.

Band Performance
In my ancillary text I used photographs of the band as I wanted them to be relevant to the girls in the band. I didnt use to much effects on the photos to make them look to bright or colourful as I thought this would be a bit to much for my bands look and also with the genre as I want it to look like a real media product, so by using minimal amount of effects on each photo it would ehance this idea of my bands look. My band is shown on each case but they are portrayed in a different way so it doesnt look boring and stands out. I positioned the girls in a certian way as one of the girls was shorter than the other to and making her go in the middle made the photo very effective and it created a good contrast for the band being seen together. When it comes to the actual performance of the band it is seen that they are shown together a lot of the time and very close together for this genre, so I made sure there were shots throughout the video showing the girls together and hugging each other getting their relationship across to the audience. Also the single shots just showed more about themselves and their own personalities, which in these individual shots gave them to time to do this. Because of all of this I decided to use the same location for my advert and digipack so they relate back to each other. These are shown both in the video shots and in the photos I used on my ancillary text which can be recognised if they are performing or not.

Editing
Editing is a major convention of Pop and used in a lot of media products aspecially this one. I used editing mainly in my music video and a little on my ancillary text. For my digipack I used little bits of editing on my images making them bright and less dark as some images came out darker than others as well as adding contrast. I didnt increase the quality of my photos as I didnt have enough time to do so but if I could I would change this to make it look more professional. I also used the same techniques on my magazine advert as they used the same aspect when it came to the look I wanted. Without the use of this convention then my ancillary text would not look as professional as other media products.
Mise en Scene
The mise en scene is one of my main priorties to consider when making the ancillary text and music video. I used the same location for my photos for my advert and digipack as it kept it simple and basic for the type of genre im doing. Also this relates back to my music video as this is one of the locations I used in my music video. The lighting was natural so by using this tecnique instead of artifical lights you dont get distracted from the band and the use of no props were also used. On the digipack I used individual shots of the girls on their own, on three of the panels as this effect gives off their individual styles and personalities. I thought it was important to make the mise en scene the main focuse as this is used a lot on Pop videos and the song is just in the background but also related into the mise en scene. So when it came to making the video I had to get as many shots as possible to make it stand out and be exciting to watch for the audience to keep them interested.

Overall the use of the Pop convention made my ancillary text and music video a success in making it interesting because without these they would not look as realistic and exciting. This would enable them to fit into the music industry as they wouldnt fit into the Pop catergory. Some of the conventions were a bit out there so I made it more simple and basic but it was what I was aiming for with the video. By researching and planning before making any of our media products it made it easier to see what we could work with that wasnt to hard to do and the kind of Pop girl bands that are around making my band look different and interesting. By doing all this I can see how their portraied and why, which helped me to make my final products.

Feedback For My Music Video

I have completed my music video and have had some feedback from people in my class, giving their opinions on what iv done well and things I could improve on for my music video.
This is the feedback I got from my class:
Some clips from the music video are quite dark- I didn't realise that this shots were that dark until I put them on to the computer and put them into my video. I would of liked to re-filmed them to get lighter and better quality shots but I didn't have the time to re-shoot as the girls I was using in my video didn't have any spare time as they have college and work. This makes it difficult to re-shoot any shots I wanted to do because I couldn't get them all together at one time or at the times I was free. Also the days get darker early from when I began my redcording so getting home from school and getting to film is hard as I only had an hour before it got dark sometimes even less time. All of this contributed to not being able to re-film certain shots.
Lip syncing out- When I went through my music video I could see that the lip scncing was a bit out but I wanted to get all the video together first just so I knew how many shots I needed. Over time I replaced shots and shortened or made them longer so they would fit in perfectly with the lip scying. This is now noticable in my music video as its sycned perfectly with the song.
Good backgrounds used but some not as good as others- The backgrounds I used were all different as I want each member of the band to have a different style and feel to them. The graffiti background worked very well with Beth as the location was good and the lighting was also good as we shoot outside with the sun on her face. I used a painted background for Alex as I wanted different backgrounds for each girl as this showed their different styles. Alex's background was in my garage where the lighting wasnt the best as I didnt have extra light and wasnt much space to this is why you can see my garage door in some shots but I think it still worked well. My final member of the band I did on a brick wall for her background and this worked well as we were outside with day light but what I didnt realise was that the nights were drawing in and it started to get darker earlier which you can see when you watch this music video. After realising this there wasnt enough time in the day to get a good lighting shot for this particular scene.
Dance moves good idea but some need to be excuded more professionally- I decided to add dance moves in as its a up beat song and a lot of girl bands do a bit of dancing in their videos. The girls learnt the moves on the spot and spent a few minutes practicing to make sure they were insick with each other. Some could have been better excuded by having a bit longer learning the moves but over all I thought they were bright good and I didnt have extra time with the girls because of their schdules.
Drawings dont fit in- I disagree with this statment as they fit in with the chrous of the song "wings are made to fly". My picures so a butterfly spreading its wings and flying. I do have to say if I had more time I would of made the pictures better quality or got them off the interent as they were pretty plain.
Better quality camera shots- After shooting my shots I could see that some shots werent as good quality to others and I did some re-shooting but when it came to doing Beckys shots I couldnt re-do them as hers were outside and it was getting darker earlier so by the time she got to mine and we went to go do the recording it was already getting dark and I didnt have any extra light to make it look brighter and it always wasnt part of my video to make my shots look like this.
Include more letting shots- I took this advice and added extra letting into the video where I thought it best fit. I like this part of my video as its not all scene of the girls it has a bit of a different look to it with the words of the song coming up at different section through the video.
More locations could of been used- I disagree with this comment as I used three different locations and I was going to use a fourth location but when I went to do recording it was raining outside on the green I was going to use for the long shots and dancing moves, so I had to think of something different to do and did it in my garage as it was the only space I could find at the time. I got comments on the garage shots saying they werent very good or professional which I do agree with but I tried a few times to go outside and it just rained everyime so had to go with plan B.

Step By Step Digipack

This is the base template for my digipack using the background that is shown to be the main focus as it links the advert digipack and music video together. I have used it for the main background as it also looks effective behind the girls as it makes them stand out more and gets the audiences attention as the decoration is quite eye catching. The girls are shown in a simple pose with their hand on their hip. This was my second choice of photograph as I want to use better more unique poses but these photos look simpiliar and is seen more on band covers. The I chose this font from all the many choices I had as I thought this had the best look and style to what I want on my digipack.

Here I have added the playlist for the album and shown it in the same font as the bands name which is shown on the front page. This is shown on the back like every other digipack made as this is where its usually found. I also added the barcode for the digipack so it can be scanned and bought as well as the main information needed about the band like their email address where fans can talk to them and their new website which is all about their tour dates. I have put the name of the band on the side parts of the digipack so its easy to see their name also its found on many other digipacks and the sony symbol.
This is the final digipack I have done. Iv added quotes from each of the girls that have made their dreams come really so I thought it would be a nice idea to put them on the digipack to inspirer other people to full fill there dreams. I also have put a thank you note under where the CD will go as it is important to show the girls thanking the people that have helped them. This is the digipack I have handed in for my final piece.
